DEBRA MARTIN CHASE GETS 'DIRTY': Producer behind film adaptation of popular Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez novel.

     *Film and TV industry veteran Debra Martin Chase is teaming with writer Nely Galan to produce a big screen version of Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez's novel "The Dirty Girls Social Club."

      The story revolves around six Latina women from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds navigating their careers and relationships.

       According to the Hollywood Reporter, Galan, the former president of entertainment at the Telemundo network, optioned the film rights from Valdes-Rodriguez to produce under her Galan Entertainment shingle.

       Valdes-Rodriguez is set to executive produce, while Galan and Martin Chase are currently trying to secure independent financing for the project. Casting is scheduled to begin in the next few weeks.

       Martin Chase's credits also include "The Princes Diaries," "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and its sequel as well as "The Cheetah Girls" and its sequel.
