The exhibition, running through Jan. 20, 2008, is a photographic study of families from around the world that reveals what people eat during the course of one week. Each family's profile details their weekly food purchases and includes photographs of them in their respective communities, at market, and at home surrounded by a week's worth of groceries. This exhibition will underscore MoAD's emphasis on the significance of "Culinary Traditions," which, as the subject of one of the museum's permanent exhibitions, engages visitors by inviting them to gain an enhanced perspective on what they eat, its nutritional value, and where it comes from. *Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown will present her attorney Gloria Allred with the Silver Achievement Award at the YWCA Greater Los Angeles' sixth annual Benefactrix Ball, to be held 6:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
