PHARRELL IN THE ICE CREAM BUSINESS: Producer opens boutique in Manhattan's SoHo district.
*Pharrell Williams has expanded his retail game with the Nov. 28 grand opening of the Billionaire Boys Club / Ice Cream Flagship Store in New York's SoHo district.
The clothing boutique's new location is the third in a chain that launched two years ago in Japan, and added another store earlier this year in Hong Kong.
The BBC/Ice Cream story is co-owned by Williams' business partner, Nigo, a Japanese fashion/music entrepreneur.
"I don't want to grow too big," Pharrell told AllHipHop.com of the chain. "I'm a student in the game, and Nigo has shown me a lot, and I've learned a lot from Marc Jacobs [American fashion designer]. The two things that sort of ties those two characters together is [that] its quality first - quality over quantity."
