ASK ADVICE CHICK: Answers to YOUR Dating, Sex, Life, & Love Questions!(January 22, 2008)
Dear Advice Chick:
*My boyfriend and I have been together for 9 years. He doesn't want to get married but wants to continue to live together. We hardly have intercourse but if we do, it's probably every 2 months. He's never able to meet his climax and neither am I. Does that mean he's getting it elsewhere? Advice Chick replies, You’ve told me what he doesn’t and does want, but what do YOU want? Is he still with you out of convenience? Do you cook, clean, and SUCK a mean …? Sex is a dominating urge in most men, so if he ain’t sexing you he is sexing somebody else. Dear Advice Chick,
I have had a maddening crush on someone for 8 months. He is in his mid 20's and I am in my early 30's. We spend a good amount of time together - lunches, dinners, concerts, and trips out of town but the most we have ever done is "spoon" in our PJs. We are very close and help each other through the trials and tribulations of life. I am also helping his band get their feet off the ground (not financially, just advice and guidance). Many of my friends have said I need to make a move or realize that the man and I will be "friends forever". Advice Chick replies,
This reminds me of a similar situation someone experienced. He met a lady at church. They became quick friends, and started “going out” often. He and she would go to dinner, the movies, museums, even out of town. She began inviting him over for dinner. He accepted, and even slept at her home on a few occasions. Like your situation, this went on for several months. One day, she invited him over. When he arrived she said, “Mario, what do you plan to do with me?” He was like, “huh?”! She said, ““we’ve been going out for many months now, and I want to know where this is going.” He was floored. He thought he had a “good friend” in this woman, and she thought she had a potential mate. I’m telling you this to say, if a man hasn’t expressed a romantic interest in you in eight months, the romantic interest doesn’t exist. However, if you’re hell bent on going for it, go for it. Let him know how you feel, but be prepared if he doesn’t feel the same. Send YOUR questions and comments to Advice Chick right NOW!
