*The National Geographic Channel has announced a new series that will follow the attempted rehabilitation of dogs once belonging to Michael Vick's illegal dogfighting operation.

Titled "Dogtown," the series will spend the next few months documenting four of the 22 animals that were seized from the jailed quarterback's Virginia property and placed at "Dogtown, the Best Friends" animal sanctuary in Utah for rehab.

The four selected dogs are among the toughest cases at Dogtown, where experts attempt to "resocialize these seriously aggressive pit bulls," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"Dogtown" is currently in production on episodes set to premiere in the summer.
