HALLE BERRY'S GOLF TOURNAMENT SET FOR SPRING: Event to raise funds for Jenesse Center.
*As previously reported, the first annual “Halle Berry Celebrity Golf Classic Benefiting Jenesse Center” will take place in Los Angeles this spring as part of a $2.5 million "Year of Giving" fundraising campaign.
The Jenesse Center, South Los Angeles’ oldest domestic violence intervention program, has set aside Sunday, April 27 and Monday, April 28 for the event in the MountainGate Country Club (12445 MountainGate Dr.).
The Oscar-winning actress will also chair Jenesse Center, Inc.’s “The Power of One” Silver Rose Gala beginning at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, April 26 in the Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows (9641 Sunset Blvd.).
“I am really excited about the Silver Rose Weekend, but I’m more excited about what its success means to families in crisis,” Berry said in a statement. “I donate my time and resources to Jenesse Center because I strongly believe in this agency and have seen first hand the difference that they make in the lives of children and women in their community.”
