BUN B LAUNCHES 'II TRILL' TOUR: Rapper supporting new album due for release in April.(March 5, 2008)
*Bun B is promoting the April 29 release of his new studio album "II Trill" with a tour that stopped Friday in Fayetteville, NC and continues on through March and early April. The Texas rapper, who was one half of rap duo UGK (along with the late Pimp C), will also make stops at several Boys & Girls Clubs along the tour as part of the rapper's focus on "making a more direct connection with his fans," according to a press release. With Microsoft's Zune music player as a sponsor, Bun has a Zune Social website (www.zune.net/bunb) set up where fans can track his tour progress. "II Trill," a follow-up to Bun's 2005 solo debut "Trill," includes guest artists Lupe Fiasco, Mya, Lil' Wayne, David Banner and Rick Ross, among others. The album's first single, the JT Rotem-produced "That's Gangsta," featuring rapper Sean Kingston, is currently in rotation on urban radio.
