*A 41-year-old leukemia patient in need of a bone marrow transplant has reportedly found a donor in the weeks after pop star Rihanna took her case to the media, reports People.com.

Lisa Gershowitz Flynn, a lawyer and mother of two small children, e-mailed supporters Thursday stating: "The English language does not have words that are adequate to thank someone for working to save your life."

It wasn't clear how or when Flynn's 32-year-old donor registered, however, 2000 new donors were added to the bone marrow registry since Rihanna's public plea, and more than 5,000 calls and e-mails poured into DKMS, a Tubingen, Germany-based international donor network that Rihanna has worked with in the past. Flynn stated she was touched by Rihanna's efforts.

Flynn was diagnosed in November 2007 with acute myelogenous leukemia, a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. People.com said last month that doctors had told Flynn she needed to find a marrow donor within four to six weeks.
