     *Beyonce's cousin Angelica Knowles is supposedly claiming that the newlywed plans to quit singing after her next album and focus the rest of her days scouting talent for her husband Jay-Z's new label Carter Music Group. According to the New York Daily News, Angelica told their source that Beyonce's first protégé will be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas.

      *TMZ.com posted a clip of actress Lauren Hutton touting her new cosmetics line in South Carolina and referring to a shade of foundation as "Oprah dark." In telling a woman she had grabbed the wrong shade, Hutton said: "This is Oprah dark. You are not Oprah dark."        *BET's "College Hill 4," "American Gangster" "Comic View" and "Iron Ring" are now available for download on Xbox LIVE, the online games and entertainment network on Xbox 360. "By adding this popular programming from the BET library, our list of consumer favorites on Xbox LIVE continues to thrive," said Ross Honey, Senior Director, Media and Entertainment Group at Microsoft. Every month, new episodes of BET programming will be made available for download.

       *Gossip maven Janet Charlton wrote yesterday that CNN's Anderson Cooper is loving him some Mary J. Blige. She says he's "been growing fonder and fonder of Mary J Blige, and can't get enough of her music in the gym and on his way to and from work. He's so enamored with Blige that he's trying to talk his mother Gloria Vanderbilt into inviting Mary to sing at her next big party. We hear that Mary knows about her famous fan and she's delighted."      

       *In Touch magazine is reporting that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had their babies baptized on Saturday, seven weeks after their birth on Feb. 22. The couple and twins Max and Emme joined family members and close friends at a private ceremony at a church in Long Island, N.Y., near where the children were born. The baptism was followed by a reception at the couple's nearby estate.

       *Washington D.C.-based Black Television News Channel (BTNC) announced Tuesday it has reached a multi-year carriage agreement with Comcast Cable for distribution in several urban-based systems. The network, created by former U.S. congressman J.C. Watts Jr., will launch in 2009 and provide original news programming with a distinctively African-American perspective, according to a network press release.
