CHRISTOPHER LEWIS TO DEBUT NEW CD ON TYSCOT: 'Crisis: Change Is Required' set for May 29 release.
His debut release, May 20, on Tyscot Records, "Crisis: Change Is Required" is poised to accomplish just that.
His focus with the project is to address unsuccessful marriages in the church; Christians facing many foreclosures; domestic abuse in the Church, and pastors leaving the ministries at an alarming rate of 1,500 per month and much more.
"I just think this CD is so timely with its messages, because we are in a season that people are ready to make changes across the board," says Lewis. "They’re ready to make changes in the church, where the things that used to freak them out don’t bother them anymore. We’re ready for something that is real ... something that we can take home with us ... not just something that’ll give us goose bumps in the pews on Sunday and when we leave we’re giving somebody the middle finger because they cut us off in the parking lot."
Lewis is on a promotional tour now and will host a variety of free concerts. He is releasing the CD with a free disk, a two-disk set at a one-disk price. A third disk will be released in June via digital only.
"Crisis: Change is Required" is an eclectic mix of music, including Gospel, Urban, R&B, Rock, Reggae and Jazz sandwiched between real life in-your-face-lyrics.
