EURWEB MEDIA EXPO UPDATE: Event attracting all types of media industry oriented businesses.
*Although it is still early, media mogul Lee Bailey's EURweb Media Expo is hot and already attracting a wide range of excited companies that are either media outlets or ones that deal with the media.
The media expo is the first half of Bailey's 2008 annual EURweb Media Expo & Awards Show to be held Friday August 1, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center from 11a.m. - 9 p.m.
The EURweb Media Expo (11 a.m. - 6 p.m.) will offer exhibitors, vendors, new technology demonstrations, and other activities. So far those participating are Sister2Sister magazine; Boosweet Enterprises, LLC (record label/international distributor); The Lippin Group (public relations/marketing); Mallia Media Group (record label/publishing house/artist management); the Los Angeles Watts Times, Three Keys Music Group (record label/recording studio); Tri County Sentry (newspaper); Radio Facts (urban electronic magazine/blog); freelance photographer Gar Roberts, and the event's coordinating agency, Freelance Associates (PR/media & promotions).
The EURweb Media Awards (5 p.m. - 9 p.m.) will present the 2008 annual EURweb Media Award for Out-Standing Achievements in "print media," "electronic media," "journalism," "photography," operating an "agency," and as the most "media friendly celebrity." Nominations are in and the voting process has begun. The public can now log onto www.eurweb.com/mediaawards and vote for the winner in each category.
Winners will be announced at the R.S.V.P. only awards show hosted by Lee Bailey (RadioScope/EURweb), LaRita Shelby, co-producer of RadioScope (on over 40 radio stations), and comedian/actress Luenell (The Rock/Katt Williams: American Hustle).
Some of the top nominees include Sister 2 Sister magazine; Internet radio www.SpiritCo1.com; Rolling Out magazine; urban entertainment Internet magazine www.eurweb.com Susan Taylor (journalist/author); BET Networks, Essence magazine, novelist Zane; comedian/actress Mo'Nique; actress LaRita Devine; casting agent/film and television producer Rueben Cannon, and celebrity photographer Bill Jones, just to name a few.
