*Danny Glover is already familiar with his upcoming film role in "Master Harold…and the Boys," as the veteran actor starred in the movie's original stage production 20 years ago, as well as a recent Broadway revival.

Based on playwright Athol Fugard's early life in South Africa, "Master Harold…and the Boys" follows the complicated relationship between Harold, a white teenager, and his family's black servants, Willie and Sam. Their camaraderie suddenly explodes to reveal racism born of a lifetime under apartheid.

Glover will reprise his role as Willie in the U.K./South Africa co-production, reports Variety.

Shooting begins July 10 in Durban, South Africa under director Lonny Price, who directed Glover in the recent Broadway revival and played opposite him in the 1988 stage production. Thomas Sangster will play the title role.
