THE CLARK SISTERS WITH KIKI SHEARD IN CONCERT: Two Gospel phenoms are in concert June 14 in Atlanta.

The Clark Sisters will be on the air May 19, 2008 on 103.3 FM WVEE at 9:15 a.m. with Frank Ski and Wanda; 1380 AM WAOK at 9:45 a.m. with Lorraine J. White, and 97.5 FM WPZE at 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with Sonja Hamm, to promote their upcoming concert with KiKi Sheard June 14, 2008 7:00 p.m. at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. The concert is presented by Unity Concerts Series.

The Clark Sisters made their Gospel debut in 1973 on a recording that was produced by their uncle Bill Moss. Their mother, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, was Choral Director at their church. The sisters - Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark, Jacky Clark Chisholm, Dorinda Clark Cole and Karen Clark Sheard - were barely in their teens at the time. Today they are two-time Grammy Award winners.

KiKi Sheard is the daughter of Clark Sister member Karen Clark Sheard. From the age of ten KiKi was always on stage with her mother, she even appeared on her mother’s solo album “Finally Karen” in 1997. The song won a Stellar Award for Best Children’s Performance in 1998.

In 2003, EMI Gospel won a bidding war for a recording contract with the young singer, not yet a high school graduate. Her debut album, “I Owe You,” was released in 2004 with production by Rodney Jerkins, Warryn Campbell, Erica and Tina Campbell (Mary Mary), J. Moss and Tonex. After graduation her second release, “This Is Me,” was released in 2006 and garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album.
