'BAISDEN AFTER DARK' BEGINS NEW SEASON: TV One's nightly series returns June 21 with Tamia, Irv Gotti and Iyanla Vanzant.(May 22, 2008)
*Syndicated radio star Michael Baisden returns to TV One this summer with a new season of hot topics, live entertainment and compelling guests on his talk/variety series, "Baisden After Dark," which premieres Saturday, June 21 at 11 p.m. In the premiere episode, Baisden discusses the notion, “Why Did I Get Married?” with singer/songwriter, Tamia, music mogul Irv Gotti and spiritual life counselor/author, Iyanla Vanzant. R&B icons Midnight Star and comedian Joe Clair will perform. This season, Baisden's topics include "From the Playground to the Prison: Why are so Many Men of Color Going to Prison?" "Obesity: Why Are We So Fat and What Are We Doing About It?" "Who are The New Civil Rights Leaders?" "After the Affair: Do You Forgive and Forget? Or Remember. . . and Remember?" "Shacking Up, Do Men Know What They Are Doing In the Bedroom" and "Are Women Too Picky?" Additional features include a musical and/or comedy guest performance, from guests such as Angie Stone, Broadway star Elizabeth Withers from “The Color Purple” and R&B legend Peabo Bryson, as well as input from Baisden’s “Man on the Street,” comedian George Wilborn.
