EDDIE GRIFFIN SUED FOR ASSAULT: Production manager claims comic beat him for booking his mother into a cheap hotel.
*A production manager on the set of an Eddie Griffin pilot has filed a lawsuit claiming the comedian beat him up for booking a cheap hotel for the star and his mother.
According to the filing in L.A. County Superior Court, Vince Beane says the attack took place on March 10 after production shingle The Leslie Greif Company plied Griffin "with more than six bottles of Veuve Clicquot Chapaign (sic)," failing to inform Beane of "the violent propensity of the inebriated Eddie Griffin..."
Beane, who's seeking unspecified damages, says Griffin accused him of treating his mother like a "slave ni**a."
The Leslie Greif Company asked Beane to make lodging arrangements "at any cheap 3 star hotel" for Griffin and his mom, his lawsuit stated. Griffin felt slighted, according to the suit, telling Beane: "You are that mutha fu**a who got my momma that f**ked-up ass hotel room" -- then Griffin allegedly clocked Beane. After the alleged assault, Griffin said, "that was for my Momma...she ain't no nappy headed ho....boy," the lawsuit stated.
Griffin's rep tells TMZ: "We cannot comment on the details of on-going litigation, except to say that this claim is completely absurd and that it will be shown in time to be without merit."
