YOUNG JEEZY ARRESTED FOR DUI IN ATLANTA: Rapper originally stopped for speeding at 2:30 a.m. on Buford Highway.
*A new celebrity mug shot has hit the Internet. Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday and cited for driving under the influence and several other offenses in Atlanta.
According to E! News, the rapper was driving a white Corvette on Buford Highway near Interstate 85 when he was pulled over for speeding and reckless driving. In addition to those offenses, officers also cited the 31-year-old for missing tags, driving with an open container and failing to show proof of insurance.
The artist, born Jay Jenkins, was taken into custody and booked at a nearby station before being released on bail several hours later. He's due back in court on July 17.
According to TMZ.com, Jeezy said the Corvette's temporary tags had fallen off in a car wash, which he had just visited moments before he was pulled over. As for the open container, Jeezy says it belonged to the other passenger in the car.
Jeezy was in the ATL to perform at Hot 107.9's annual Birthday Bash, an all-star concert that also featured Kanye West and Usher.
