*To whet appetites for the reunion album of R&B trio Labelle, due Sept. 23 via Verve, group members Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash will perform July 5 in New Orleans as part of the Essence Festival at the Louisiana Superdome.

The gig, billed by organizers as Labelle's first public concert since January 1977, will include a performance of their classic hit "Lady Marmalade," which was recorded in New Orleans more than 30 years ago, and produced by legendary New Orleans musician, Allen Toussaint.

The as-yet-untitled album, the group's first since 1976's "Chameleon," will be produced by legendary soul hitmakers Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff as well as Lenny Kravitz.
