WILL AND JADA FUNDED PRIVATE SCHOOL LINKED TO SCIENTOLOGY: Smiths deny New Village Academy is a scientologist school.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith recently poured nearly a million dollars into the building of the New Village Academy in Calabasas, California. It will open its doors September 3, 2008 for about 40 students. The L. A. Times has reported that several of the teachers at the academy are Scientology members.
The director for the school said that the school “has no religious affiliation.” The academy will provide financial assistance for 80% of its student enrollments.
Talk of Will Smith being linked to Scientology began with his friendship with well known Scientologist Tom Cruise.
Will told the New York Daily News that he and his wife are Christians and that he is a student of all religions.
