Evangelists are appalled by a preacher’s daughter’s song of lesbianism. According to an article written by Ed Helmore, Katy Perry has made a major transformation.

Perry is 23 years-old and the daughter of two protestant pastors. Many of her former fans are said to be astonished to find her topping the charts with a single celebrating the pleasure of a lesbian kiss.

In the single, “I Kissed a Girl,” Katy sings of kissing a girl and liking it.  Her last single, “Ur So Gay,” scorned effeminate metro-sexual males and in particular, her ex-boy friend who wore make-up.

Her change has shocked the evangelical Christian community.  Katy started singing in a Santa Barbara, California church. In 2001 she released a self-titled album, “Katy Hudson,” on a Christian music label. She soon came to the attention of The Matrix, managers that handle Avril Lavigne and Ricky Martin. Overnight she became Katy Perry, a “hip-shaking, lingerie-wearing, pseudo-lesbian Pop star,” according to Sheila Mariker of ABC News.

“What a sad picture of a lost child who has been swept away by the carnal pleasures of the world,” read an entry on Christian website Planetwisdom.com.
