*EUR columnist Morris O'Kelly interviewed Najee Ali, Executive Director of Project Islamic Hope (and also a contributor to EURweb.com) in regards to the recent shooting and death of 38 year-old Kevin Wicks by Inglewood, CA police on July 21st.

Wicks was allegedly shot due to wielding a handgun as he answered the door to his apartment.

In addition, Wicks was shot by an Inglewood officer who had just returned to active duty after another controversial shooting and murder of an unarmed African-American man just two months before.

Earlier this week, Ali and other community leaders met with the Inglewood City Council and Inglewood Police Department brass in order to address the situation as well as maintain calm in the city.
