CHRISTIAN BOOK OF THE YEAR RECEIVES THREE MILLENNIUM AWARDS: Star-studded ‘The Word of Promise’ wins top honors in audio.
The audio project received the top prize in the spring 2008 competition’s audio categories for “Direction,” "Sound",” and “Best Use of Music.”
The Millennium Awards recognizes outstanding creativity, skill, craft and talent in audio, television/film/video/commercials, print, advertising, web design, and radio. The Millennium Awards competition received over 1,204 entries that were judged by award-winning professionals in the communications industry on creativity, design, innovation, presentation and technical merit.
The Millennium Award wins come on the heels of “The Word of Promise New Testament Audio Bible” receiving the coveted “Christian Book of the Year” by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s (ECPA) Christina Book Awards.
The audio Bible has also received Award of Excellence Gold Communicator statuette in the music category from the Communicator Awards. In addition, it has also taken home a Platinum Award in the radio category in the 2007 MarCom Creative Awards, tied for first place in the books/Bibles audio category for Christian Retailing’s Retailers Choice Awards, and received finalist recognition from The Audios and ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Awards.
“The Word of Promise New Testament Audio Bible” features vocal talents of actors such as Stacy Keach (Prison Break), Lou Gossett Jr. (Roots) and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters).
