DORESA HARVEY HOSTS UPLIFTING MINDS II TALENT COMPETITION: Baltimore's Heaven 600 personality back for 5th year.
The showcase is Sunday, August 17th at Coppin State University starting at 1 p.m.
Heaven 600 is the number one rated Gospel contemporary station in the country.
Harvey is a very funny comedian and talented actress, but first she is a high-profile Gospel radio personality in the Maryland area. As a comedian Doresa always has the crowd and judges laughing hysterically while she hosts. Admission is free.
The competition is day two of the Uplifting Minds II Entertainment Conference which starts Saturday August 16th with a day of entertainment business seminars to be held at The Baltimore Times from 1 – 7 p.m. Topics include entertainment law, starting your own label, public relations/media and promotions and much more.
Competitors in the showcase must showcase material that is clean in lyrics and performance. Winners in vocal, song writing and dance compete for the ULMII Award and a list of other prizes donated by many industry executives, such as free legal consultation by Burbank, California entertainment attorney Richard Jefferson; image make over by image consultant to the stars Angelo Ellerbee in New York; 30 days radio airplay of winning song on Internet radio station Hit Center; free vocal lessons from vocal coach Nadiyah Kareem; perform winning selection on Platinum Plus TV (Comcast ATL), and much more.
