DETROIT MAYOR HAULED OFF TO JAIL: Judge says Kilpatrick violated terms of bond.
According to The AP, his honor is to be photographed and issued a green Wayne County Jail jumpsuit and will be housed alone in a restricted area of the jail because of his high profile.
Judge Ronald Giles revoked Kilpatrick's bond after he found the mayor violated the terms of his bond by going to Canada and not informing the court.
The mayor, who is required to alert the court to all travel plans, went across the border last month to push the sale of the city's half of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.
The ruling Thursday came after the mayor apologized to the court, saying it won't happen again.
Judge Giles says he would have given the same treatment to any criminal defendant.
Kilpatrick faces perjury and other charges, which he has denied.
