“It was all about the attitude.” *Celebrity models were showing big attitudes as they strutted their legs and buns at the Celebrity Catwalk held at the beautiful Highlands night spot, where the stage was set and adorned with white poodle poster boards and cat scratch polls. I remember my dance teacher whacking me on the rear-end in dance class because I wasn’t demonstrating attitude. I think that by making me mad she gave me the resolve to be fierce and competitive. I knew I didn’t’ want to be hit with that stick anymore, so whatever “attitude” was, I developed my version of it at ten. Sticking out my chest until it grew and grew and grew. Different versions of this kind of haughty high-minded confidence were displayed by many celebrities on this night. Each guest celebrity model that came out on to the runway demonstrated how fabulous he or she was. And they all were unique. Tiffany 'New York' Pollard walkin' it like a ferocious tigress (photo by Vinni Ratcliff) Tiffany Pollard (New York) who I happened to meet upon arrival and seemed so sweet and demure was a wild cat on the runway. She just turned it on, flipping her waist long mane, holding her nose in the air like she just didn’t care. She was a killer tigress. Here kitty kitty. I was so busy looking at her feline attitude and hair blowing in the wind; I don’t even remember what she wore. I do remember though that her shoes were blinging like Tiffany diamonds, just like her name. Then Pamela Bach who has re-surfaced from an ugly divorce/custody battle with former hubby David Hasselhoff (who surprisingly by the way, arrived at the event at the same time she did and was seated front row near me) was an even badder biatchi. Pamela was movin’ dancing and throwin’ out some hip-hop dance steps like she was soul sistah number one. She does not dance like a white girl is all I can say. Dunno where she’s been hangin’ out lately but someone in the hood has definitely schooled her on how to dance her kisser off. She was the “I’m bad ” one on the runway. I’m sure David couldn’t’ help but think the same thing. He made it known though that he was there to support his daughter Hayley Hasselhoff also in the show. Next up, pretty Elise Neal. I have mentioned her name a few times in my column. Elise has attitude that exudes dignity and class and style. She came out sporting a short conservative English bob. Elise was very focused looking straight out to the audience, like a dancer who was spotting getting ready for a pirouette. Elise was definitely polished. No rough edges around Miss Neal. While, Kim Coles seemed to call it in and just smiled prettily for the audience. Coles was very likeable affable, with a like me or leave me attitude. Now, Countess Vaughn’s attitude was more like “Hey’all I was invited to do this thang, so I’m here, check it out, bye!” Another standout included Dorien Wilson. Let’s hear it for the boys. Dorien was all over everywhere; he just took over the runway. I think someone should have cracked the stick on him and told him, you’re supposed to walk in a straight line! Not Dorien, he was thinking “outside the box” making eye contact with the audience on the three sides of the long narrow catwalk stopping and stooping to connect with everyone, eye to eye face to face, as best he could from his position. Dorien used the runway platform like a fountain pen and left his graffiti mark in every little corner and crevice of the stage. Dorien Wilson’s attitude was, “I walked here and you will remember it for life!” D-Ray Davis, Michelle Murray, and Lisa Raye at the Celebrity Catwalk co-sponsored by Alizé held at The Highlands Club on August 28, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Celebrity Catwalk for Charity, a fashion show/lifestyle event, raises funds & awareness for National Animal Rescue. Just when you thought it could not get any better, the Alize’ models took charge of the runway in little itsy bikini wear. Photogs went nuts. One photographer started bangin’ on the stage with his hands commanding that each model stop in front of him and pose, so he could take their photo, holding up the show. LOL, it was too much. More Alize’ please! Now of course there’s always a beautiful hostess of a fashion event and gorgeous LisaRaye McCoy…dare I say… Misick shhhhhh was the bella Dona looking like Aphrodite in a long white satin gown with a shimmery gold wide waistband. She was simply breathtakingly, alluringly gorgeous and showed no signs of stress or strain of her widely publicized grievance with her husband, albeit, LisaRaye is a wonderful actress and may have just stepped up to the plate to pull off a brilliant event for her fans and for a great cause. Truly, no one ever knows the tears behind the lovely smiles. LisaRaye reigns. Her attitude was… queenly. The fashion show benefited “National Animal Rescue” that raises funds and awareness for animals. Toward that end many pet lovers were on hand to accept The Celebrity Catwalk Animal Activism Award, which included incandescent Girl Next Door Holly Madison. Her hugely famous boyfriend Hugh Hefner or “Hef” was also in attendance and beamed proudly at his main girl. They say he has big attitude, if you get my drift. All of his girls (Holly, Bridgett and Kendra) dote on their pets. Other recipients included exotic high maintenance model/actress/mother/entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons who accepted her award via a video taped message and lovely Persia White was the third recipient. I was deliriously pleased to be seated front row Kleopatra Girl Ringside next to sexy cool attitude trainer Sam Bell. I must have received three Alize' refill stirrers that lit up with a blinking blue light. One is still blinking in my purse. Can’t wait to use it for a refill at the next event. I just love that little exotic soda poppy drink. It’s definitely a girly girl with attitude blend. Alize' was the leading sponsor along with Luster hair care products. Shoulders back chest out.
