Dear Advice Chick,
*I have been told over and over again by people that you find love when your not looking for it. How do you not look for it when you want it so badly? Does this mean I have to stay at home all the time in order to be found?
Advice Chick replies,
When you are single and lonely you are always looking for love. Perhaps not love, as in 'love at first sight', but as in a romantic partner. When we want anything desperately we hardly ever get it. That's why they say stop looking for love and it will find you.
You can get involved in activities that attract men and women or try some male dominated activities. The goal is to meet people and have fun. Sure, your little heart will still long for a relationship, but they do not usually happen overnight. I suggest you try one, or some of the following:
Volunteer at a Political Office
Volunteer at a Hospital
Join a Bowling League
Enroll in a Salsa Dance Class
Join, or start a MeetUp Group?
The list goes on and on. In closing, get out of the house. There?s an entire world out there, and your man is out there. Hell, he's probably looking for you as hard as you are looking for him. Relax.
