      *"American Gladiator" host Laila Ali, 30, announced Thursday that she and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, welcomed their first son together, reports People.com.      

       "Although mom and baby are both healthy and happy, there were some surprises during labor that altered Laila's birth plan," the statement said.

       The baby, named Curtis Muhammad Conway, weighed in at 6.8 lbs. and measured 19 inches in length, according to People.com.        

       Conway Sr., 37, has twin sons Kelton and Cameron, 13, and daughter Leilani, 9, from a previous relationship.
