POSSIBLE MOTIVES IN HUDSON KILLINGS EMERGE: Argument between Julia Hudson and ex-husband rooted in unpaid car payments. *The Chicago Tribune quotes a police source who said the motive in the killings of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew could be related to ongoing disputes between the suspect and his estranged wife, Julia Hudson, and her family. One of the arguments centered on missed car payments, sources said. William Balfour, 27, remains the focus of the triple-homicide investigation. Hudson's mother and brother had kicked him out of their Englewood home in the past, sources said. Julia Hudson also told police that Balfour had threatened the family. A source said Balfour told Julia Hudson he would kill her if he found out she had a boyfriend, despite the fact that he had other girlfriends. Officers said Balfour was cooperative during questioning on Friday night, but he stopped talking when police suggested he take a lie detector test. The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Balfour's girlfriend has contradicted his alibi and police have caught him in at least one other lie during questioning. Balfour has not been charged in the slayings. He remains at Stateville Correctional Center, where officials transferred him Sunday morning, saying that because he was a suspect in the slayings, he violated conditions of parole for a 1999 conviction for attempted murder. The Associated Press has uncovered documents showing that Balfour was arrested for drug possession in June, but state officials didn't revoke his parole. Parole records obtained by The AP also indicate that Balfour missed a meeting with his parole agent on Friday, the day Jennifer's 57-year-old mother, Darnell Donerson, and 29-year-old brother, Jason Hudson were murdered and her nephew went missing. Julia's son, 7-year-old Julian King, was found shot to death in a stolen SUV parked in a nearby neighborhood. All three deaths have been ruled homicides.
*Chicago police are ruling the death of Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew a homicide after the Cook County Medical Examiner announced Tuesday that he died from "multiple gunshot wounds." Julian King's body was found early Monday in the rear of a stolen SUV parked in a neighborhood about 10 miles from his home. The likely time of death was not announced, so it remained unknown whether he was killed at the same time as his grandmother and uncle were, or after being abducted. On Monday afternoon, Jennifer Hudson was among seven family members and close friends who cried and held hands as they identified King's body from a live image on a television screen at the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, reports the Associated Press. No one has been charged in the slayings, however, Julian's stepfather, William Balfour, is being held on a parole violation and is referred to as a person of interest in the case. Balfour has been estranged from the boy's mother, Julia Hudson, "American Idol" judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson have all expressed sadness over the tragedy.
*Jennifer Hudson's sister Julia has turned to her MySpace page to post a message about the murders of her son, brother and mother. The undated post in the "About Me" section appeared Tuesday, one day after police confirmed that her 7-year-old son, Julian King, had been found dead in the backseat of a car on Chicago's West Side.
"I guess it's time to update this," she continued. "Now because I chose to do what was natural to me and love someone, it cost me my beautiful family. It cost me my beautiful, loving, supporting mother Darnell, my true blue baby brother Jason — I love you baby — and last but never least, my only son Julian, my innocent baby one that was sheltered from all the evil in the world because we loved him so much." Julia Hudson concluded the post by writing, "His lil soul is at ease. I take comfort in knowing that Julian is with my mother and my brother and most of all, the Lord, and now he's my angel, he's protecting me."
*Getting straight to the point, accusations of theft have led to the breakup of one-time platinum-selling R&B quartet 112. Once Sean "Diddy" Combs' pride and joy under his Bad Boy label, the Atlanta-based group soared to success in 1996 with the release of their self-titled debut album and first single "Only You." As the teens grew into young men, their material entered into adult-themed territory as well; exemplified by the 2001 hit "Peaches and Cream" and their last big single in 2005, "U Already Know," after signing to During an interview with former group member Michael Keith to promote his new self-titled solo album, the singer told EUR's Lee Bailey that the group broke up last year after he and Marvin "Slim" Scandrick fell out with another member of the band. "I had to leave because I found out that a certain member of the group took my publishing check," Keith told Bailey. "It was made clear that it was intended for myself and another member, Slim." "I'm all about trust," says Keith. "And once you lose that trust with me man, it's just time for me to make a move and focus on my solo career. Everybody else was focused on their solo careers, the outside endeavors, and I just decided it was time for me to make that change and go into solo mode, Michael Keith mode." Keith said the group was not without its infighting throughout the years. Equating it to a marriage, he says, "We did have our arguments, we did have our disagreements, but all in all we saw that the bigger picture was to maintain the brand, maintain the group." But the singer says he drew the line when his trust was broken. "Because I am such a trustworthy person, and I teach my son the value of being a trustworthy person, once you negate all that, it's something there that's irreconcilable in my opinion. I've put so much of myself into 112 and into the brand and into these guys. For it to be a situation that boils down to simply money, that's something I can't forgive." Keith said it was his business manager who discovered the missing money, and the two are "weighing out" a decision to file charges. "I'm gonna be honest with you, it's hard. It's hard being with these dudes for the amount of years I was with these dudes and to take legal action," he said. "It's something that I just couldn't fathom. But it's a business. This is a music business. And when something is done wrongly, you've got to be a better businessman. You've gotta handle it."
*Just as Janet Jackson's traveling Rock Witchu show was getting back on its feet following postponed dates, opening act LL Cool J announced he has quit the tour due to unnamed "scheduling conflicts." Reps for LL made the announcement late Monday, reports the Associated Press. His exit comes after Jackson, 42, was forced to cancel a string of earlier concerts because of a bout of migraine-associated vertigo. She recently resumed while being treated for the illness, which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.
*At 8 p.m. tonight, ABC and the CW will be the lone broadcast networks not running the half-hour ad from Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama. Instead, ABC will air its struggling series "Pushing Daisies," while the CW will counter program with its usual show in the time period, "America's Next Top Model." The Obama campaign bought a half-hour of airtime on NBC, Fox and CBS on October 9, spending about $1 million per network, according to the Hollywood Reporter. But, ABC was absent from the list, and the network refused to explain its programming intentions. One source said ABC offered the airtime, but the Obama campaign, for whatever reason, declined to buy an ad.

All four are dressed in crisp pink button-down shirts and white socks as they reenact Cruise's classic lip-synching scene from "Risky Business." Woods' were fired by the mogul in the finale of "Making the Band 4" earlier this month. “It’s electro Hip-Hop soul,” Diddy told InTouch Weekly about the as-yet-untitled project. “T-Pain gave me permission to use the vocoder, the Auto-Tune, and he showed me various tricks that nobody knows but him and myself.” SAMUEL L. Michelle said Malia asked her dad, "'You're going to be on all the TV? Are you going to interrupt my TV?'" The Illinois senator assured her that her favorite programs would not be affected. "He said, 'No, we didn't buy time on Disney and Nick.' And she said, 'Oh, good.' And she got up and walked away. She was just like, 'Don't mess with my TV,'" Michelle laughed.

However, a rep for Perry told Page Six: "That's totally preposterous. I call him Tyler. Some people do call him 'Mr. Perry,' but it's out of respect."
*Tyrone Willingham has been forced to resign as head coach of the Washington Huskies football team at the end of the season. Athletic director Scott Woodward made the announcement two days after the Huskies fell to 0-7 with a 33-7 loss to Willingham's former team, Notre Dame. Willingham was under fire for failing to restore Washington to national prominence. He's 11-32 overall in his four seasons. "We didn't win enough football games. That's it," Willingham said. "Hopefully, we've done all the other things right, (and) it's a good strong program for someone to jump into and do things." With a year left on his contract, Willingham will receive a $1 million buyout. * Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, already facing possible suspension by the NFL, was charged Monday with simple assault for spitting his drink in a woman's face at a Kansas City club. Several hours later, the Chiefs indicated the two-time Pro Bowl player would not suit up for the foreseeable future. Johnson also faces a Dec. 4 court date for another incident that occurred last February when he allegedly pushed a woman's face in another Kansas City nightspot. This most recent alleged incident at a Kansas City nightspot on Oct. 10, marks the fourth time in five years Johnson has been accused of assaulting a woman. He was deactivated for the past two games for breaking team rules. *New Orleans running back Deuce McAllister confirmed Sunday that he's one of six to eight players under investigation by the NFL for violating the league's drug policy by taking a weight-loss diuretic that is considered a masking agent for steroids, reports the AP. The Denver TV station Fox 31 reported last week that six to 10 players had tested positive for Bumetanide, a pill that decreases the amount of water retained in the body by increasing urination. It causes the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine. Defensive end Will Smith of the Saints and defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams of the Vikings have also been identified in various reports — citing unidentified sources — as one of the players. Under the NFL's steroid policy, a player testing positive for the first time can be suspended for four games. A spokesman for the San Francisco 49ers has denied an NFL Network report that claims the club is trying to hire Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as its team president. The league-owned TV network reported that an unnamed high-ranking 49ers executive was willing to explore hiring Rice after she had reportedly said she would love such a job. But 49ers spokesman Aaron Salkin told the San Jose Mercury News, "We have our office structure in place," and added "We don't respond to rumors." In January, Rice indicated she will return to Stanford University in January, putting her in the San Francisco area. Rice served as provost of the school from 1993 to 1999. The 49ers named Mike Singletary coach last week after firing Mike Nolan following a dismal 2-5 start.

DVD Review by Kam Williams
The General has decided to go forward with plans to build his next franchise atop a sacred Native American burial ground, ignoring some very vocal local opposition. He proceeds to bulldoze the graveyard, unaware that disturbing the remains of the Tomahawk Nation will trigger freaky fallout no one could have ever anticipated. For, the spirits of the ancestors magically merge with the fowl being served at the restaurant, turning the birds into a revenge-minded horde of man-eating zombies. This is the point of departure of Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, an alternately hilarious and shocking, gender-bending, genre-mixing, musical horror flick which defies description at every turn. Thoroughly entertaining via everything from blood-curling screams to gruesome displays of vivisection to a topless lesbian revue to bodily function humor to politically-incorrect ethnic jokes, the movie saves plenty of time to deliver some deadly serious messages about consumerism, sexism, racism and animal rights. Directed by the legendary Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger) the picture stars Jason Yachanin as Arbie, a recent high school grad who can’t afford to go to college. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Wendy (Kate Graham), promises to remain loyal while away at school, only to fall in love with a gay, activist classmate, Micki (Allyson Sereboff). The plot thickens after Arbie applies for a job at the cursed new restaurant, and what ensues is a jaw dropping combination of silly, sexy and sadistic skits serving up a never-ending array of imaginative ways to knock off cast members in a high attrition-rate production. A sophisticated splatter flick as likely to enlighten as to keep you in stitches. Excellent (4 stars) To see a trailer of Poultrygeist, visit:
