*Nashville, TN - At its 33rd annual gala, held on November 7 at the Mason-Murer Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (GLA) presented prominent entertainment attorney Alan S. Clarke with the Ben White Distinguished Service Award.

According to GLA, the award represents the very best in the legal profession: professionalism, integrity and an unwavering commitment to providing legal services to worthy individual artists and nonprofit arts organizations who cannot otherwise afford assistance.

GRAMMY-winning music and film producer Dallas Austin ("Drumline," Gwen Stefani, Janet Jackson, Blu Cantrell, Pink), who served as honorary chairman for the gala evening, was honored with the GLA Artist's Advocate Award for bringing music and film education to thousands of young people through his foundation.

The Dallas Austin Foundation, started in 2003, has built recording studios in 10 public schools, hosted a conference for college students to learn about the entertainment industry and provided scholarships to students majoring in music.
