CHRISTMAS TV SPECIAL AIRS ON THE WORD NETWORK: ‘Christmas with Ami Rushes airs’ airs Thursday, November 20 at 4:00 p.m. EST

     Ami Rushes Ministries (ARM) in association with DDL Entertainment’s Christmas TV special is set to air “Christmas with Ami Rushes” on The Word Network this Thursday, November 20th at 4:00 p.m. EST.

     The show features performances by Ami, a look at all her previous music videos and the premiere of her latest Christmas video “Mary Did You Know.”

     The 30-minute show was written and produced by Darryl D. Lassiter and features guest appearances from Gospel music industry veterans as Dottie Peoples, Vashawn Mitchell and media people Jawn Murray (Tom Joyner Morning Show), Teresa Hairston (Gospel Today Magazine), and Veda Brown (Black Gospel Promo).

The Word Network is channel 373 on DirecTV and other cable outlets. “Christmas with Ami Rushes” will repeat at the following times:

Tuesday, November 25th - 6:00 p.m. EST

Tuesday, December 2nd - 4:00 p.m. EST

Saturday, December 6th - 6:30 p.m. EST

Tuesday, December 9th - 6:00 p.m. EST

     Ami’s new Christmas song and music video are available now. She can be seen on The Bobby Jones Gospel Hour in the coming months as well as the Gospel Superfest.

     She continues performing in venues across the nation supporting her latest album “Lifting.” Rushes marries her music ministry with her philanthropic nature getting involved with Save Africa’s Children, a charity founded by her pastor, Bishop Charles E. Blake of the West Angeles Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles, California.

     As with her debut release, 30% of the proceeds from the sales of her CD will benefit that organization, which currently provides support to over 160 orphanages throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

     Lassiter produced her first five music videos. No stranger to producing TV specials, Darryl D. Lassiter, over his 20-year film/video – music career, has won a Stellar Award for “Best Video” and numerous other awards for his work in the film and television industry including, Telly Awards, Soul Train Award nominations, “Videographer of the Year,” and he was inducted into the National Black College Alumni Distinction Hall.
