*Outspoken wide receiver Chad Johnson was spotted taking advantage of Black Friday sales in Florence, KY. TMZ.com has a photo of him in a Best Buy at 5:25 a.m. picking up the video game Rock Band 2, a stereo, and a Cuisinart four-slice toaster.

*The Public Theater’s world premiere of John Guare’s A Free Man of Color, starring Mos Def and Tony Award winner Jeffrey Wright, has been cancelled due to loss of funding brought on by the bad economy. In a statement, the Public said it was still committed to mounting the production, which was originally scheduled to debut at the New York venue in late Winter 2009, sometime next season. The show was to have been directed by the Public's former artistic director, George C. Wolfe.

*The New York Post is reporting that Chris Lighty's Violator management company has taken on former prostitute Ashlee Dupree as a client. The 23-year-old became famous in March when she was exposed as the call girl frequented by then-New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Prior to the scandal, Dupree had been trying to land a record deal and had two singles "Move Ya Body" and "What We Want." "She deserved a fair shake and Violator isn’t scared of the controversy," a source familiar with the deal told AllHipHop.com.

*Today at 6 p.m., BET will dedicate a full episode of "106 & Park" to the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic, followed by the premiere of "Are You Positive?" a half hour special that addresses the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS at 7:30 p.m. "Are You Positive" profiles four young Americans - two of whom are living with HIV, two who are not -- who open up their lives, sharing what they do for work and fun, as well as their passions and dreams, to challenge the stereotypes about who HIV affects. In the final act, the characters reveal their status and talk, with inspiring openness, about how HIV has affected each of their lives.
