NEW DOCUMENTARY DISHES ROC-A-FELLA DIRT: Former employee details unraveling of Jay-Z/Damon Dash business and friendship.(January 2, 2009)
*A former employee of Roc-A-Fella records is coming out with a tell-all documentary about the downfall of the label, reports SOHH.com. The employee, who goes by the name Choke No Joke, includes lots of juicy stories chronicling the infighting and contentious relationship between former business partners Jay-Z and Damon Dash in the film, "I Am Choke, No Joke." In a SOHH.com interview, Joke says: "'Dame' was a camera freak. He loved people to tape him, 'cause he started thinking he was a star . . . Ever since the 'Big Pimpin' video, he started gettin' a little light and it started to get to his head." Joke claims that Dash's signing of Ol' Dirty Bastard and his proposal of Cam'ron as a vice president of the label (which Jay-Z rejected) were among the disputes that drove a wedge between the two. "Jay wasn't feeling none of that sh**," Joke said.
