*AllHipHop.com reported late Wednesday that Jermaine Dupri's tenure as President of Island Records Urban Music is over.

The Web site quoted a source close to the situation who said he has in fact been terminated effective immediately.

A formal announcement of his departure from the position, which he has held for nearly two years, was expected later Thursday.

During his tenure, Dupri oversaw the success of Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi," and provided production for the Music Group’s entire roster.
