*Nas and his wife, singer Kelis, have announced the sex of their baby. Via Russell Simmons' Global Grind Web site, the rapper wrote: "Personally, life is good. I'm sure that y’all heard K (Kelis) is expecting. The internet seems to be more excited than I am. It’s crazy! I got too much to think about, and I didn’t wanna leave all my fans out the loop. But I wanted to let y'all know from me personally that I’m having my first SON!!!!" Nas has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. *Grace Jones reportedly kept everyone waiting at an after party for the African Fashion Collection show recently in New York. The New York Post said celebs such as DJ Cassidy and Solange Knowles were waiting for the guest-of-honor to arrive at the Plaza, where the shindig started at 9:30 p.m.. Jones, however, didn't show up until 1:30 a.m., after the event was over. "She kept demanding a special security escort, even though she was repeatedly told the party was over," a witness told Page Six. *Fox411's Roger Friedman wrote Tuesday that Berry Gordy may have a grandchild on the way. "I’m told that Diana Ross’s daughter, Rhonda, whose father is Berry Gordy, is expecting," according to the columnist. *During a ceremony Monday in Opa Locka, Fla, a section of Perviz Ave. was renamed President Barack Obama Ave., making the city the first in the nation to name a street after the current president. The measure to rename the street was proposed by Vice-Mayor Dorothy "Dottie" Johnson and received unanimous approval. *The Loop 21.com and UNITY: Journalists of Color, Inc. have partnered to conduct a national Race & The Media survey on Feb. 19 in Washington D.C. The event solicits the views of hundreds of journalists of color regarding the impact of race on the 2008 presidential election. Ed Gordon will moderate the forum, to be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the National Press Club (529 14th St. NW, 13th Floor).
