*Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Disney's first African American princess, had an emotional moment during the unveiling of her character's doll last week in New York City.

“This is so silly!” a tearful Rose said as she saw the plastic figure of her character, Princess Tiana, for the first time. “I’ve seen dolls, I wasn’t even a doll kid, but this is mine!”

Rose told "Access Hollywood" she is thrilled that the doll representing the star of Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" has features true to her heritage.

“We made sure that she has a nice curl in her hair.” Rose explained of the doll’s elegant up ‘do. “She’s a little browner than I am. That’s because my natural skin color could be misconstrued as anything, and they wanted to make sure that she really looked like a brown girl."

“She’s got a nice little round nose and she’s got full lips,” Rose added as she marveled at the plastic creation.

The film won't hit theaters until December, but the dolls and other Princess Tiana merchandise will begin rolling out in the spring. And Rose said she wants the daughters of President Barack Obama to be the first to experience the history-making replicas.

“Sasha and Malia, I’m coming!” Anika said.
