*Outkast member Andre 3000 was pulled over and arrested by police outside of Atlanta Saturday morning for driving his 2007 Porsche Carrera 109 mph, leading one officer to label him "an accident waiting to happen."

Atlanta's WSB-TV reported that the rapper-actor, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, was clocked by police on Interstate 75, which has a 65-mph speed limit.

"Traveling that fast along 75, you're passing people as if they're standing still," Henry County Police Captain Jason Bolton told WSB. "It's an accident waiting to happen."

The artist was released after posting $1,200 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 29.

According to MTV.com, the arrest comes as State Representative Jim Cole is lobbying for a new "Super Speeder" bill to be passed in the state of Georgia. The law will force violators to pay an additional $200 fine for driving at more than 85 miles an hour on highways and four-lane roads. Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue has said he supports the bill and intends to sign it into law in the coming months.

Representative Cole told WSB that he hopes Andre will help rally support behind the bill. "He might be willing to help us market it," Cole told the station.
