BEYONCE TAKES A 'SHINE' TO NICKELODEON: Singer to voice lead singer in animated pop group The Wubb Girls.

      *A familiar voice will power the lead singer of The Wubb Girlz in Nick Jr.'s animated series "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!"

       In four episodes beginning April 27, the voice of lead singer Shine will come to life courtesy of Beyonce. The role will be her first project targeted specifically to the tweener crowd.       

       The gig was "all about fun," she tells People.com. "It was all about my inner child and me being 5 years old all over again."       

       But she's also hoping that she may inspire actual 5-year-olds to enjoy music as she does.       

       "Music is very, very important to me. It has given me so much confidence and it’s given me purpose in my life," she says. "When I was a little baby my father would play music to me and one of my first memories is dancing to Stevie Wonder. When I was five I performed for the first time and I found my first love. I think I was able to avoid a lot of negative things in life because I had goals and because I was so focused on music. I am so, so lucky to be a musician."
