*Actor and comedian John Witherspoon will be the guest of honor for TV One’s "Roast and Toast," premiering Monday (May 25) from 9-10 p.m., and repeating at midnight.
Hosted by comedian Tommy Davidson, the special features Witherspoon on the receiving end of good-natured ribbing from Guy Torry, Mark Curry, Earthquake, Tom Dreesen, Paul Mooney, Tim Reid, Sheryl Underwood, Kym Whitley and Anna Maria Horsford.
Shot on location at the 9900 Club, formerly the historic “Friars Club,” in Beverly Hills, the hour also features a special appearance by longtime Witherspoon friend David Letterman.
Viewers can also watch the Red Carpet, hosted by syndicated radio personality Alfredas at www.tvoneonline.com.
The special will repeat Thursday, May 28 at 10 p.m. and Friday, May 29 at 1 a.m.
