NBA PLAYOFFS UPDATE: Don't crown James 'King' just yet; His Cavs lose again to Magic.

*It's looking like Mo'Kelly was right on the money in his column regarding LeBron James' fans and the media rushing to judgment about him being in the same league as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, "Magic" Johnson and yes, Kobe Bryant.

Of course he hit that amazing buzzer beater in game two against the Orlando Magic to lift the Cavaliers to a 96-95 victory with 1 second to go, but that didn't win the series. Last time we looked the Magic were up 3 games to 1.

For the record though, last night in game four, James hit another 3-pointer with just seconds to go and he scored 44 points, including hitting two free throws to send the game into overtime, but his Cavs still lost to the Magic 115-114 in the Eastern Conference finals.

As sports columnist John Smallwood of the Philadelphis Daily News writes, "it is now time for James to take a huge step toward validation, or he faces serious questions about his much-hyped legend." Not to mention, he and his teammates will find themselves on a fishing trip instead of one to the NBA Finals.

Game 5 is Thursday night in Cleveland on TNT.  Can "King James" and his crew stave off elimination or will the Dwight Howard led Orlando Magic close out the series and rest up for the winner of the Western Conference finals between the Denver Nuggets and the LA Lakers?

And of course that brings us to tonight's meeting with those two teams. The series is back in LA for game 5. Besides being tired, Kobe is getting little to NO consistent help from his Lakers teammates except Pau Gasol.

If they continue to play like they did Monday night, with Denver's leading scorer Carmelo Anthony mostly ineffective, and the rest of the cast stepping up, it's all but over. Denver won that game 120-101 to tie the series at two games each. Now it's a best of three series.

Tonight's game is on ESPN at 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific.
