SHOCKER: JILL SCOTT NO LONGER ENGAGED!: New mother tells of split with fiancee.

     *So what's up with Jill Scott? No sooner than we hear that the soulful songbird/actress just had her first child with musician John Roberts, we hear that the relationship is now history. 

     Scott,  who has a reputation in the industry for being somewhat difficult to get along with, was formerly married to Lyzel Williams, a graphic designer.

     The news of the breakup came via an interview with Essence magazine when she stated that, "John and I are no longer together."

     "When you have a baby you're dealing with a lot of emotions and I don't know how much of it had to do with us breaking up, but it happens," Scott told the magazine after being asked how Roberts was adjusting to their son Jett, born on April 20th of ths year.

     But even though they're no longer love interests, that doesn't mean they won't be partners/parents for their child.

     "We definitely love our son and we are co-parenting and working on being friends. It is what it is. I have a lot of support, so I want for nothing as far as that's concerned."
