WILL JANET REMAIN IN PERRY'S 'MARRIED' SEQUEL?: Announcement of her casting was released just hours before Michael's death.(June 29, 2009)
*At about midday Thursday, it was announced that Janet Jackson had signed on to reprise her role in Tyler Perry's comedy sequel "Why Did I Get Married Too," again paying a successful author/psychologist who's quick to analyze other's relationship woes rather than deal with her own.
However, the passing of her brother Michael hours later may impact Janet's involvement in the film, as well as any other projects she had scheduled for the near future. The singer flew to Los Angeles from a shoot in London to be with her family, according to her management. She arrived Saturday and drove directly to her brother's Holmby Homes estate Saturday in a Bentley and wearing dark glasses. At the time, about eight movers had taken dollies and packing equipment through the gates, reportedly to move the kids' belongings to the family home in Encino. "Married Too" has a release date of April 2, 2010. Because Perry's films usually go into production quickly, the shoot is likely to begin in late summer – which may be too soon for Janet. So far, the actress and Perry himself are the only returning cast members who have been announced. Speak Out
