MJ ASKED HILTONS IF HE COULD NAME KID PARIS?: Jackson and Kathy Hilton were high school buddies; Paris says Michael always loved her name.

*Paris Hilton is claiming that she was the inspiration behind the late Michael Jackson naming his 12-year-old daughter Paris.
In an interview with TV show "Extra," the socialite says her mother and Jackson went to high school together and have been best friends since they were 13. Paris says she remembers the King of Pop begging the Hiltons to let him steal the name.
"I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay and, of course, she said yes.
"I think Paris is such a beautiful little girl and I'm proud we have the same name."
