*There's a great little short film out there called "Going Up" that reminds all the racists out there to watch their mouths just in case, shall we say.
Scenari A white guy is on an elevator in an office building when a black man gets on. The white guy sizes him up from top to bottom. But the meeting gets really interesting when a white girl is added to the equation.
It even comes with a very satisfying ending that we should've seen coming, but we didn't, because it's written and acted so well.

*Tyler Perry has yet another hit under his belt and it's not even in theaters yet. When you see the trailer, you will be moved. Most things he does moves the people ... that's obvious from the box office.
But this particular film seems to have several angles and they all lead to hope. Perry is an excellent peddler of inspiration and he's selling it with the help of superstars like Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight, Marvin Winans, the incomparable Taraji P. Henson and a newcomer that the ladies will love, Adam Rodriguez.

*One of the funniest comedy shows I had the opportunity to check out while I was in Las Vegas (as well as be a part of the cast) was Wayne Brady's "Making $%#* Up".
He is not only an UNDERRATED comedic genius, but he is also a brilliant singer and dancer. If you haven't already, be sure to pick up his Grammy nominated debut album "A Long Time Coming." It's pretty good.
Side Bar-Not to spoil it for y'all but WHY did Wayne do the ENTIRE "Put a Ring On It" dance number in FULL BEYONCE DRAG?? I was so NOT ready to see a grown azz man with facial hair rocking a leotard and blond wig while gyrating to the music of Beyonce. Nuff said…
Speaking of dudes in drag ... I happened to catch Jamie Foxx at the Star Plaza Theater Friday and he was a hot azz mess!! As much as I LOVE Jamie and I am a HUGE fan, he needs to stick to comedy and acting. Singing is not his forte'.
