*The Big “O” Youth Educational Dream Foundation and the Woodruff Arts Center of Atlanta (1280 Peachtree Street, N.E.) will host a musical tribute in honor of Otis Redding on Thursday Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. Special guests include Avant, Estelle, Eddie Floyd, Anthony Hamilton, Kenny Lattimore, Chante Moore, Karina Paisan, Dexter Redding, Otis Redding III, Musiq Soulchild and William Bell. “The Big “O” Recognition & Awards Dinner will precede the tribute and will honor Boys & Girls Club of America, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Kyle and Pattie Petty, City of Macon, Georgia, Bibb County and the Macon Convention and Visitors Bureau. *The Bill Pickett Invitational Finals Rodeo, celebrating 26 years of National Rodeo Entertainment, will consist of two final performances taking place Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. and Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. at Southern California's Industry Hills Expo Center in the City of Industry (16200 Temple Ave.) Actors Glynn Turman and Reginald T. Dorsey will serve as Grand Marshal and Co-Grand Marshal. Actors Jim Pickens of ABC “Grey’s Anatomy” and Mykelti Williamson of Fox's “24” are Honorary Grand Marshals. Celebrities invited and scheduled to ride in the Grand Parade include Daniel Curtis Lee of Disney’s “Zeke & Luther,” LisaRaye, Richard Gant, Art Evans, Howard Hewitt, and Deniece Williams.
