EUR MOTIVATIONAL NOTE

Today’s ‘Live Better With Willie Jolley’ Tip: You Can Lead a Horse to Water, But. . .

The old adage states, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink. You can take a fool to wisdom, but can’t make him think.”

There is a story about a man who was looking for the secret to success. He came to a wise man and asked, ‘‘What do I have to do to become a success?’’ The wise man said, ‘‘You have to change your thinking and change what you do and change how you act and finally you have to be willing to make some sacrifices.” The young man paused to reflect on the wise man’s words, and then he walked away. He didn’t want to change his thinking and didn’t want to stop doing what he was doing. He didn’t want to make the necessary sacrifices because it would be uncomfortable.

Many have heard what it takes to be successful but refuse to change and therefore choose to fail. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s as old as time: you are what you think about!
