THIS DUO IS 2-U-NEEK!: Brother/sister twins to sing national anthem before Lakers-Suns game.Ashley and Ashton's ‘Choice and Dreams’ Tour kicks off in Austin, TX, Nov. 21(November 6, 2009)
*Los Angeles -- Pop/R&B duo 2-U-NEEK (twins Ashley and Ashton) will be performing the national anthem Thursday, November 12 at the NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns game at 7:30pm. The game will be at The Staples Center. This will also be the kickoff day for the 2-U-Neek "Choice and Dreams Tour" which will include visits to high school and colleges in the California and Texas areas. The 2-U-Neek "Choice and Dreams Tour" will visit the Austin, Texas Boys and Girls Club Saturday, November 21st where they will perform and handout literature on Teen Date Abuse and Animal Abuse; Saturday, November 18th they perform on the campus of the University of San Antonio, and Friday, January 1, 2010 2-U-Neek perform again in San Antonio at the UTSA vs. University of Houston game. 2-U-Neek The twins are also songwriters and actors having written and produced a commercial jingle for a Texas based tax company. They also performed in the Disney "Let it Go" music video with Mitchel Musso and Tiffany Thorton for the Disney film "Hatching Pete" and appeared in the Mary Mary "God in Me" music video. Ashley had a small role in the Disney XD's Zeke and Luther television series, as well as on Spy Kids. Signed to Zire Records the twins are always performing somewhere, they performed this summer as the opening act for Raven Symone' during her Six Flags Tour. The label's launch of the "Choice and Dreams Tour" has a goal to encourage people to go after their dreams and to educate them on the connection between animal abuse and abuse of human. Their 2008 debut "The Birth" (at iTunes and BestBuy.com) received a Grammy Award entry. Currently finishing their self-titled sophomore CD, 2-U-Neek, even before they graduated from high school, has appeared on BET's 106 and Park and on The Jimmy Kimmel Show (he coined the phrase "the Texas twins").
