*Comedian Katt Williams has been released from jail after he was arrested and accused of breaking into a friend's Georgia home and stealing jewelry and other pricey items.
Williams was released from the Coweta County jail in Georgia after posting $40,000 bail on Monday night, according to reports. The comic insists he's innocent, despite a police report that accuses the star of using a crowbar to break into music mogul Barry Hankerson's rural mansion and taking off with jewelry and collectible coins. Williams' lawyer said his client has been a guest at Hankerson's horse farm for the past month. Alan Clarke, a Georgia attorney who represented Williams in court on Monday, said his client had argued with an employee on the grounds who in turn called the police with a burglary report. Hankerson spoke with investigators on Monday to assure them that Williams had permission to stay indefinitely in the home he was accused of burglarizing. Clarke said, "This is a misunderstanding which will work out quickly." Katt Williams makes impromptu statements after being released from jail:
