ITTY BITTY BITS: Kandi Burrus' boutique; protective orders against Seacrest stalker and N. Richie paps; MTV Networks get TV rights to 'This Is It.'(November 18, 2009)
*"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member Kandi Burrus will celebrate the grand opening of her TAGS Boutique on Thursday, Nov.19, at 4500 West Village Pl, Ste 2003 Smyrna, GA. Men's clothing comprises over 60% of the inventory and most items are priced under $100. In addition to TAGS, Burrus is shopping for a major label deal for her sophomore album, "B.L.O.G." In the meantime, she released the five-track EP "Fly Above" via iTunes.
*A judge has granted Ryan Seacrest a permanent restraining order against Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., the knife-wielding 25-year-old Army vet who was arrested at the "American Idol" host's radio studio last month. Uzomah can not come within 100 yards of Seacrest, his home, his car and all of his places of business for the next three years. He is also to refrain from having any direct or indirect contact with the personality. *A judge has also granted Nicole Richie a permanent protective order against a couple of photographers she had accused of harassing her. The celeb appeared with her boyfriend Joel Madden in court Monday to give testimony of a car accident she blamed on the paparazzi members in question – Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel. They apologized to Richie during cour tand "promised" to leave her alone. The protective order extends to Richie and her two children, Harlow and Sparrow, and will expire Nov. 16, 2012. The paps must stay at least 50 feet away from the family and their vehicle. *The New York Times reports that MTV Networks has acquired exclusive television rights to the Michael Jackson concert film "This Is It" for six years beginning in 2011. The deal allows MTV Networks to show the motion picture on all of its channels, including MTV, VH1 and BET Networks.
