NOW AT 'EUR THIS N THAT': Gil Scott-Heron Is Back!(November 19, 2009)
*It's a bird! It's a plane! Nooooo it's the Heron! Gil Scott-Heron that is! The man that had been long thought dead has arisen and is back with a new album that has only been whispered about as legend in smoky after hour joints for years. He's come out of the shadows to grace the stage and preach once again. Gil Scott-Heron, in case you're not familiar as you should be, set the stage for hip-hop. The poetry and verse that he's given us, like "The Revolution Won't Be Televized", gave Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five their Message. Heron was one of the first to lay the truth on track and pave the way for the beginning of the rap game. Check out Gil Scott-Heron here. ALSO: America Opens First Marijuana Cafe *Watch out Amsterdam, the U.S. is pushing the envelope with its first legal Mary Jane restaurant and cafe. But while Portland, Oregon is home to the first "Cannabis Cafe," its patrons have an exclusive membership in the National Organization for the Reform of the Marijuana Laws (NORML). And now that everyone knows who can get in, their membership will more than likely, skyrocket. AOL's Daily Finance reports that Oregon is home to 21,000 legal marijuana users. The Cannabis Cafe will open its doors to them, but again, they have to be NORML members as well. Surely no one will have a problem with jumping through hoops to come to the cafe and get their smokes for FREE and have a meal. You didn't hear me? That's right, GET YOUR SMOKE ON FOR FREE. Can you hear me now? :) Now that we have your attention, get MORE of this story HERE, and the link to find out how to join the Cannabis Café ... if you're interested in that sorta thing. ;) Also click over so you can enjoy these other eurthisNthat headlines: Got news/humor/photos/dirt you want to share with the world?
