SUNDAY MORNING THIEF: Parishioners fall victim at church.(November 23, 2009)
*Churchgoers in Buffalo, N.Y. are praying with one eye open after their wallets and purses were stolen during Sunday services last week. It happened at St. Mark's on Amherst and Woodward, St. Louis at Main and Edward, St. George Orthodox on Amherst and Nottingham and Westminster Presbyterian on Delaware. According to WIVB-TV, police said a woman driving a silver Ford Taurus with the New York license plate EVU 2608 is to blame for all four crimes. "She has in a couple instances talked to the people in the church. She appears to be disheveled, almost, like being welcomed into the church. It's almost striking at people's vulnerable moments," Chief Dennis Richards said in an interview. Police are reminding church goers to not leave purses or wallets unattended during service
