*Regis Philbin wasn't the only celebrity in his 70s to have hip surgery this week.

Little Richard, 77, has also come through a successful hip replacement and is currently back at his home near Nashville hoping to recover quickly, reports the Associated Press.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend says he wants to "get back on the road as soon as possible," and says he'll "be shouting 'Shut Up' and rocking like the old days" when he returns to the stage next year.

The artist also said he could feel the prayers of his fans and is thankful they care enough about him "to take time to pray."

A family friend had said that Little Richard had been in some pain before the surgery last week but continued his rigorous performing schedule.

On Tuesday, Regis Philbin underwent successful hip replacement surgery and announced he would return to "Live with Regis and Kelly" soon after the first of the year, given the procedure's typical four- to six-week recovery time."
